Davide Laricchia and his paintings
Davide Laricchia was born in Naples on 28 July 1974.
He was very young when he instinctively began to painting, then, thanks to his father’s teaching, he refined his way of painting.
His strong sensibility and his constant study of the reality are his main ingredients.
His works are inspired by beautiful landscapes like the Sorrento Peninsula, the Amalfi Coast, Positano, Capri and his Faraglioni, Furore, Conca de’ Marini, Ravello, Pompei, Ischia, Procida, Naples (where he is from) and Vico Equense (where he actually lives).
His works are cool, intense, immediate and they touch the 5 senses. Davide Laricchia is inspired by the Neapolitan Posillipo School (Scuola di Posillipo) and so we can see clearly in his works the soft, fascinating light of this artistic Movement of ‘800.
There is a very particular connection between Davide and the sea , so the sea is his first source of inspiration: his calm/rough/heavy seascapes are the representation of his states of mind… He actually paints and sells his works in Italy and abroad.
