Sponteneity
is the essence of Marie-Hélène Stokkink’s work.
For many years she has observed the mouvements and characteristics of all living creatures.
With careful observation of her art you can see the similarity of behaviour between human beings and
animals.
The essential elements of her creativity are working with watercolorpencils, waterpaints, washes and bistre.
The full rage of emotions is depicted in the vulnerability, sensuality, fear and wonder in the bodylanguage displayed by the subjects.
At this moment the artist captures the image in a ‘freeze frame’ of motion.
