Lexi Sundell’s paintings have taken awards in juried competitions such as the first international Blossom-The Art of the Flower exhibition and the Avant Garden show at the Torpedo Art Factory.
A native Texan, she has found her true home in Ennis, Montana. The spaciousness of the American West deeply inspires her work. Lexi’s paintings are noted for their luminosity and glowing rich colors. She is happiest painting large works taller than herself, but delights in creative expression on any scale.
She teaches workshops in acrylic or watercolor painting that actually include the energy processes she brings to her own work. Students learn to access powerful levels of creativity and can then apply them to any endeavor after the workshop.
Books she has written include Flowers of the Dawn, a limited edition coffee table book featuring her paintings and poetry. Painting Acrylic Flowers A-Z was published by Simon and Schuster in Australia, North Light Books in the USA, and Search Press in the UK and then translated and published in French, German, Dutch, Italian, and Korean. Her current book, Creating Exceptional Color in Acrylics, is to be published in August/September 2012 by Barron’s in the USA and Search Press in the UK.
