- Leon Bosboom was born on June 16 of 1959 in the city of Soest, Holland. As a child he was fascinated by architecture and design. When he was 20 years old he started his career in packaging design and worked at some of the best packaging design agencies in Holland.
Leon worked for over 30 years as a packaging designer and started his own design agency: BrandNew Design. He worked for national and international brands in food and non-food.
Several brands from for excample Unilever, Nestle, Bavaria and Ahold. It was a creative profession but always ‘in task’ of clients.
In 2008 Leon decided to start a new ‘career’; making his own autonomous art. Colour and spontaneity are important ingredients in Leon’s art.
His work is very varied and he wishes that the joy of making, communicates with his art-loving audience.
Udaipur India 2011
In september 2011 heb ik op uitnodiging van IQ kunst een kunstproductie gedaan in India. Ik werkte er 2 weken in een prachtige en stimulerende omgeving. De cultuur, de kleuren en de bijzonder aardige mensen droegen ertoe bij dat het resultaat voor mijzelf verrassend was. In deze fantastische ambiance werd ik in staat gesteld verder te gaan dan in mijn atelier in Amersfoort.
