I left school with an A* in art and design and an A in commercial art, with not much else in the way of grades I couldn't study A level art at college as three above C grades were needed so I had to settle for Foundation art. Feeling a bit angry about the situation I left college to gain employment in a series of mundane unfulfilling jobs so that I had enough money to join my mates in the pub at the weekends. Feeling like my life was going nowhere I seriously had to start thinking about a proper career, so I started a rock band. After 5/6 years on the road having a great time writing music we regrettably disbanded so I found myself at a cross roads once again. this time i went back to my first love, Art. I won the visitors choice award at the first local open art exhibition and soon had many commissions coming my way. I was commissioned along with five other local artists by the Royal Navy to paint a series of murals at portsmouth's historic dockyard which was unveiled by Princess Anne. I am lucky enough to make a living from my art, and enjoy every minute of it.
