- I am a realist oil painter with a twist. Through the use of texture, detail, and super saturated color, I will manipulate the paint in any way I can to achieve the desired effect. I can fin something in ordinary subjects that capture my interest and then play up that feature that grabbed my eye. I take the ordinary and make it extraordinary. I'm 62 and have been painting since 4 when my father first put a paintbrush into my hand.
